Abstract

It is studing the iron melting production of Volyn voivodes the second part of the 16 and the first part of the 17 centuries, which is mechanized by the help of energy of water mill wheel. It is shown its spreading and its done counting of enterprises (45 till the second of the 16 th., 70 till the of the 17 th century). It is lighted the technical eguipping of enterprises, it is given the description of raw materials (march, lakes, valleys and iron ore), it is cletermined the number of operating staff (12–13 persons at one enterprise) and amount of production, it is established, that metal mill with two furnaces and three water mill wheels was produced 500 p. of iron yearly. It is researched the appearing among the working people the dividing of work and beginning of organic manufactory in its primary form.
